Club Rules

1)  All club business will be done by mail out ballots. Anything You want voted on must be given to a board member or the president. There will still be an annual meeting with the date determined by the board members.

2)  Membership dues will be payable 30 days prior to the due date of the lease of each year. Members who have not paid their dues by this date will be dropped from the membership. There will be no refunds.

3)  The total membership will be 35 members. Exceptions will go before the board members.

4)  All new members come in for a one year probation period.

5)  The game laws of the State of Louisiana will be observed at all times except where club rules override (deer size, limit, horn rule, etc.). 

 

6)  Weyerhaeuser lease terms and conditions will be obeyed at all times. Any member found in violation of Weyerhaeuser lease terms and conditions and club bylaws will be dismissed from Bienville Hunting Club without refund of any money paid.

 

7)  All members will also conform to Weyerhaeuser’s Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI Addendum). The SFI states that there will be no disking for food plots anywhere that may cause an area to start washing. There will be no disking or disturbing any water bar, terrace, slope or ditch bank. There also will be no rutting of roads.

 

8)  All “new” food plots on company roads and fire lanes must be approved through Weyerhaeuser.

 

9)  All members of the club and guests of club members shall enter club lease at their own risk and shall hold Weyerhaeuser Ind., and the club blameless for any accidents and/or injury.

 

10)  All members shall wear hunter’s orange on the club lease.

 

11)  No child under the age of 16 shall take a stand without an adult present.

 

12)  The immediate family of a paying member shall be entitled to all the privileges of the club except voting and having a guest. Immediate family is defined as spouse, children and grandchildren in school.

 

13)  Each membership is allowed three (3) bucks and two (2) does.

 

14)  Youths, ages 17 and under, are allowed one deer of choice which does not count against the paying member’s deer allotment.

 

15)  One (1) buck of choice is allowed, all others must have at least three (3) points on one side.

 

16)  Any deer killed under 75 lbs or buck that does not comply with BHC rules will result in a $100 fine.

 

17)  Stands are limited to three (3) per paying member regardless of location.

 

18)  All stands must be at least 300 yards away from another stand.

 

19)  Major pipelines (#4, #5, Bailey, Texas Eastern, United and Logansport pipelines) are open to any member hunting as long as the stand owner is not in the stand. The hunter must give way to the stand owner if he/she shows up to hunt said stand. There will be no new stands placed upon major pipelines after the 2014-2015 season. All other stands on pipelines are closed and only allowed to be hunted by the stand owner or with permission of the stand owner.

 

20)  Clearly marked name tags on all stands must be redone by Labor Day weekend. If name tags cannot be read clearly then that spot and/or stand becomes open. All name tags must be attached with aluminum nails only. The individual and/or lease will be held responsible for any damage to logging equipment due to steel nails.

 

21)  Guest fees are $25 per day. Each member is allowed four guest days per year. A guest can NOT hunt for more than four days on different memberships. All guests must be accompanied by a paying member. All guests must sign the register at Todd Moreau’s house prior to hunting to be covered by insurance. Members are responsible for the violations of bylaws made by their guests.

 

22)  No guests are allowed on the opening weekend of any season.

 

23)  If a member fails to register and pay for the guest before hunting there will be a $50 fine and remaining guest days will be revoked.

 

24)  If a guest hunts any part of a day it will be considered a full day. Any deer killed by the guest will count towards the member’s allotted deer.

 

25)  All deer must be registered at designated places.

 

26)  No ATVs will be allowed on the lease for any reason from one week before turkey season until it closes.

 

27)  If there is a bylaw violation the violator will be brought before the board and dealt with accordingly. If there is a fine imposed the member is not allowed on BHC until the fine is paid in full. All other proposed fines will be $100.

 

28)  If you have a problem of complaint please address it to the appropriate board member immediately. The problem/complaint will be handled by the board members. Their decision will be final.

 

29)  Board meeting will be held on the opening day of squirrel season at 1:00 pm or as needed. Board meetings can be conducted over the phone or by email.

 

30)  Please don’t litter. Keep all trash in your vehicle. If you see trash please pick it up even if you didn’t throw it out. Let’s have respect for our lease.

 

31)  There are no mandatory work days. Everyone can see what work could be done to help our lease run smoothly like trees cut off roads, trimming along roads, signs hung, litter picked up, etc. If you see that it needs to be done please help out and do it.

 

32)  Deer hunting with dogs is not permitted on Bienville Hunting Club. Any deer hunting dog that comes onto Bienville Hunting Club can only be retrieved by the dog owner between 11am and 1pm. No one may retrieve dogs at any other time than these. The dog owner retrieving a dog may not take any gun bearing position.

 

33)  A member may purchase a guest membership. This membership is ⅔ of a regular membership. The guest membership will allow a member to bring one guest at a time anytime that the member is on Bienville Hunting Club. The “guest” is not allowed on Bienville Hunting Club if the member is not physically on the club. This guest membership will be allowed the same number of deer as a regular membership. This guest membership will not be allowed any additional stands or votes. The “no guests on opening weekend” rule would not apply to the guest membership.
